OK... the methods might have been a little crass, but there'll be one less lambo-doored S on the road... and the world is a better place for it!!!

Umm, that car was built by King Motorsports and is not only fully streetable but fully trackable. Have you ever seen that car (other than in pictures)?

I dont doubt they track it but its hardly the car id pick to call "true race jap stuff". I stand by the fact it has stock size rotors, no cage and its funny they put all the cooling vents in the hood only to slap a plate infront of the radiator. It prolly is pretty quick around the track but to call it "true race" I dunno.

I thought of this post today coming home from work the LONG LONG way, over a mountain road and thought damn I love my car... I couldn't understand anyone wanting to add pounds to it by adding lambo doors. i think the guy just hasn't got his S out and really played with it the way it should be done. Vtec was engaged for about 4 minutes and that wasn't even riding the gears out in some mad twisties, that's what the dude needs to experence to understand. Great ending to a crappy day SHHHH |

my only thing is there are tons of kits for lambo door out there, but if your gona get a good one its gona be over a grand. And its gona add a lot of extra weight to the car; one of the best things about the S is its light weight. The cheaper kits that are like $500 are significantly lighter in weight than the more durable expensive kits. You notice more issues with the cheaper kits like allignment and installation issues. My whole thing is why spend that kind of cash when it could go far so many other mods that you would actually notice improvements in your car.
I havent spent much money on my S yet. But personally from pervious cars ive owned and spent money on, one of the best mods ive done is a really good suspension. keep my updated on any mods you do decide to choose, its great to get input on how they turned out and how you liked them compared to stock. |

Lambo Doors rsponse to all
I can actually respond to this with all of the headaches that I have personally had.
1st. The S2K doors were never meant to be converted and when door is opened in vert position, it puts a lot of presure on the front section of the door, and the door handle was never meant to be pulled down with 60-70lbs of force. It is just held in with 4 plastic grommets protruding through the inner sheet metal skin of the door. I have personally ripped my door handle off twice. 2nd. Unless you buy either a welded kit or semi welded kit, the allignment will never be correct, the constant opening and closing will surely misallign any bolted on kit. I had a semi-welded kit and it stayed alligned for a while, I eventually had to do a minor adjustment on the door side. You will have to remove the front fenders every time you need to adjust them. 3rd. You will need to shave, cut or roll 3/4 of the front fender facing the door, the vert assembly will need room to move. Unfortunatley this will increase the spacing at the door jam and looks like azs. 4th. Most quality door kits will allow you to allign them so they will not leak, but you will have to keep an eye on it. In conclusion, dont do it, YOU WILL BE disappointed. I removed mine 6 mos. ago and enjoy not having to do the lambo limbo everytime I get in and out of the car. |

ADVISE: DON'T
Don't disgrace the poor car. Lambo doors belong on Italian bull badged monsters. |

I'm married and she did not like them, mainly because she is 4'11" and 100lbs and could not close them by herself. I really does take about 50-70lbs of pull to close them. You figure the doors weigh in about 50lbs. The only upside was when someone parks to close you can get back in the car easy. |

2 things: first, what is the front bumper on that red S it looks pretty nice. not a fan of "teh" CR front bumper, looks like the S has a huge beard that needs to be shaved ![]() secondly, dont kill me for this but...where did the term "rice" originate from...
