Help: Need your opinion
Just trying to get some info. My roommate might be selling his Comptech exhaust. His S2K is a lease and he will be turning the car in......in about 4 months. Told me last night I have first dibs if I want it. Told me to check on E-bay to see what they are going for. Problem is....I cant find a used one on E-bay. That's where you guys come in. The exhaust still appears to be in great shape. He takes car of his ride, no winter driving, and polished the tips/cans regularly. It is however, about 4-5 years old. His car is a 2000 and I'm pretty sure he put it on there in about 2001. Any ideas on what I should offer him? Any suggestions would be helpful. He is also going to be getting rid of his AEM intake too. Another note on the exhaust....he will need mine as a trade off, because of the lease and he does not have his oem anymore. That could be used as a negotiating tool. Thanks in advance for any advise you guys have to offer.

If he is a pretty good friend I would think he would not want much for it since he got mutiple years of use out of it. Plus if you trade it out with him he wont have to worry about auction fee's, paypal fee's, boxing the exhaust and shipping it out. Finding a box for that sucker cant be easy. Offer up 25% of the purchase price and throw yours in.

Hey White;
You've obviously got experience with this kinda stuff, but, as you've stated that you use your Stewie year-round, are you certain that you wanna listen to that exhaust note all the time? It's been my experience that many folks think that the exhaust notes are pleasing . . . right up until the point where they've gotta listen to 'em day in n' day out. But it did keep us guys back in service wrenchin'. Be well. |
