forum suggestion

Suggestion for a new forum maybe in the Tech. area? A new forum for all at How to's. Like how to change gear oil, trans fluid, head lights, break lights, flush breaks. You get the idea just whatever, i seen S2KCA has one on there site and its pretty useful i thought. So theres my one good idea for the month,lol. Thanks alot.

Provided we can keep it relatively clear of non-related stuff, that sounds like a good idea Bob.
Bounce it off the administrators n' see how it flies.
N', a'course . . keep us posted. (Unless it jus' pops up in the forum area. Then most of us will probably figure it out)

i dont have a problem with this idea, provided we have some DIYs to put into the section.

Here is an example of a DIY section that I put together at another one of my sites. It is entirely user-submitted, but only mods and admin can post in the section, which keeps it very clean and organized.

I think articles should be submitted and approved before they're posted. that way the forum stays on topic and doesn't get into "subject creep".

that is what I do elsewhere. The member doesnt actually post the FAQ or DIY..they submit it to a moderator apppointed to oversee the section.
