I believe S2Kx2 bought some kind of special bolts. You may want to send him a PM.

Aaay Indy, sorry to hear about your situation down there.
I don't know about the bolts, but I'd think that if they came for your seats n' were thwarted by anythin' short of a 160 lb. Rottweiller r' a 357, before they left, they might be inclined to lay waste to your ride.
I'm not sayin' that you shouldn't do what you can to prevent ridin' 'roun' on a milk crate. I'm sure you're doin' everythin' you can to park only in safe areas, doin' whatever's necessary to protect the car from any entry at all (if that's physically possible) .
Yeah. I know. In a perfect world. (In a perfect world we'd have somethin' like the commercial that they had in RoboCop where they fry the car thieves. I'd sit aroun' in a lawn chair n' attend that.)
But, once they're in it n' find that they can't get what they want, they're likely not to be in the best'a moods. What's left'a the seats (N' anythin' else that can be damaged) probably won't be worth keepin'.
If it's at all possible, go with somethin' that's gonna keep 'em from gettin' to the car, r' unable to do that, somethin' that's gonna make your alarm so loud that I'm gonna hear it up here in Joisey.
'Comes under the headin' of "Rock-n'-a-Hard-Place".
Good luck with it Ind n' keep us posted.
Be well.
Java

thanks java and I know wat u mean the thieves would probably destroy the whole interior when they realize the can't take way they want, so future is looking bright for a oem hardtop and alarm, hey if you know of any type of alarms regardless of price list a few I would apprecciate it, thanks

I have some custom bolts that are like a wheel lock that hold my seats in. You need a special 'key' to get them off.

One of the senior members on the s2ki web site is one source for the locks..
Do a search on 'seat locks' and you'll find him. He requires proof of s2000 ownership before he'll sell them to you... Price is around 66.00 for a set.

(mine have been ordered...

Hey ever1, So weird sh it people steelin seats. They're nice seats but why? Easier to steal the whole dern car than part it in public? Learned years ago. Rag top? Jus leave it open... Hey, if they want it, well ya know what I mean. Them vibratin alarms and a 357 work good...

Thinking of it you could probably file the attatchment bolt heads round or epoxy over the top so a ratchet wont fit............just a quick idea ?
