CHP has to get a grip!

So here's the story, I come home from work today and my neighbor(Dudette,25) was all shook up and told me that the CHP just pulled here over. So I said to her"what happened" she said "I was coming home from school on the 118 freeway and a CHP came flying up on me and said to PULL OVER. Anyway she stops and the cop said to her "Do you know why I pulled you over" ,"NO" she said. The cop said" I pulled you over because your license plate is dirty and I can't read it from 100 meters away. I could give you a ticket but I'll let you go now if you promise to keep it clean in the future". Do you beleive that $h!t I would have laughed in his face, come on! I think the CHP needs to get a grip on things, if they have notting better to do why don't they run plates on cars to see if they have insurance. Maybe if we get them off the road MY policy will go down

I would have said, "Yes officer, it's because I've been drinking and there's a gun under the seat and a dead body in trunk."

it's great to be a smart ass but that quote is probable cause for further investigation and could result in time being spent in the back seat of a not-so-luxury auto with no door handles. search of vehicle to follow. oh, my, is this a roach in the ashtray? a good pat down search is downright embarrassing. and the citation for the dirty tag so the copper can cya, which you would have avoided in you had kept the ol' mouth shut. do what you wants...

Since when did cops in the US start using the term "meters"? I've heard miles, blocks, yards and feet but never meters.

I hear you Chaz I got my first speeding ticket in one of my S2000s for doing 78 miles per hour in a 70 miles per hour section of the freeway. Never mind that I was being passed by a mommy on a cell phone doing 85 or so and a mini-van in the fast lane doing 90 at least. I am going to fight this through Ticket Busters. Stay tuned. In talking to my friend who is a cop he mentioned that California has in so many words ordered all jurisdictions to crack down on traffic violations since the states economy is on the skids and the state is virtually bankrupt.

She should file a complaint with the authorities. That's abusing power under the color of law.

Between Chaz's story and John's story, it just goes to show that the cops in CA have an agenda other than to serve and protect....revenue generation, plain and simple. The only reason Chaz's neighbor did not get one was because the judge would have laughed it right out of court. Had she actually broken some law, you better believe she would have gotten one.

Whoa...just saw a CHP chase video on FOX News that showed the person laying down giving up and the CHP came up and kicked him in the face. Way to lose your job right on helicopter video, you tool.

Edit:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,520110,00.html

Great job...not only will this tool lose his job, but now the criminal gets to sue the state and win millions from an already bankrupt state.

Ok...but does that really matter??

Even if it is a local, they are funded by the state, so the money comes from the same empty bucket. But no worry, they'll just raise our taxes a little more and crack down more and tax us through the back door....literally.

lol java! Tho I think Jimbo did not mean to be taken literally. The others claiming to enjoy ticking off cops, dunno. Darwin clearly described this phenomena. The fit of the specie, do not wind up a patrol officer unless they are ready to be removed from the food chain. What is happening on the roads in CA was only a matter of time. Sorry to take the thread into politics, but the current administration in CA, has passed the cost of running the State (floating bonds) to future generations for years. It is over and writing up law abiding folks without a front plate for revenue gen is our world now.

Sat morning, my plate goes back on. I don't know why I care really. As long as it does not overheat. wth?

If the plate was dirty then probably the rest of the car was too. I'll assume that Dudette wasn't driving an S2000 because driving one of these dirty should be a crime!

As I have previously stated A Rocky Mountain RDR8 will solve most problems, not a dirty license plate though. But with it he would not seen your 78.
