wondering if this is a normal noise?

it can only be heard w/ the hood open .it sounds like a restriction or a slurping sound you get when you suck through a straw. Its coming from the half inch gray hose running from top a valve cover to the air intake manifold. I know because if you pinch the hose it stops. It doesn't do it all the time . This is on an '08. Also 1 out of 10 times I turn off the ignition the car thinks I left the key in. I have to turn to accessory then back off to stop the chiming, I tried lubricating, is there an easy fix? besides bringing it in? Thanks for any advice

That's a strange one, but as an 08 it should be warranty, so let your friendly local Honda people figure it out.

This is a common problem. You can try lubricating the lock with graphite or you can take it to the dealer and they'll replace the lock cylinder or you can just get used to it. It's not a big deal either way.

No problem is too small with a car still under warrenty. Don't leave the dealership without taking a lap or two around the car and if you get grease spots, finger prints or anything else, have 'em clean it up.

In my experience, most dealers are pretty careful about smudges on a car. Years ago I bought a Civic that came with oil changes at the dealership for the first year. Every time I took it in, they also vacuumed and washed the car. No big surprise that I went back to the same place for the next Honda.
