I am looking at the 5Zigen Pro Racer GN+ Hyper Black, Rota SVN Hyper Black, & Enkei Ekm3's Gunmetal. Does anyone run these & show my pics. The Enkei's & the Rota's are I know are cheaper were as the 5Zigen's are being to be more pricey. I really like the Enkei's but I haven't seen any on a s2000.

Have you checked out the Enkei RPF1's there decent looking and really good for the price. I always hear people get bashed for rotas, Im not sure how bad they really are but Im pretty sure there not the best quality of wheels.

Eh I think 5zigens are also on the cheaper side.. I think enkei's are the best quailty of those choices, You dont really want to cheap out on some thing like wheels. Dont get me wrong Im sure you could get any of these wheels and possibly not have a problem, but if you plan on tracking your car or if you hit a big pot hole one may be more apt to crack/bend.

TR, the 5Zigenz look good, but, unless they've added to their line-up, they don't have anything that can work on Stewie'z +65 positive offset rear.
You can drive with'em, but if you come to a stretch'a normal rougher road at highway speedz, your hard-partz're gonna be makin' contact. No matter what the salesmen tell you, they DO NOT work. (Ask'a man who bought'em on'da salesman'z assurancez.)

You can go lower than +65 but much lower than +50 and you will have to start doing some mods, You can run a slight negative camber but the lower you get the more you have to do to fit wheels, Roll fenders, cut/relocate bumper tab

All wheels are capable of warping or breaking. I've seen a Volk break b4 from a pot hole. I like rotas. I know some ppl with em and they've never had a problem. Ppl think they're junk cuz of the price and how they are made. Just so u know I have some cheapeez I got on eBay for $300 and I have never had a problem in the 1-2 years I've had em. Would I track em... Hell no! But for daily driving they're perfect. Just keep in mind what u want em for. Oh and they're +48 offset all around with no rubbing. Would I trade em for any of the 3 u suggested...yep. You should get the ones u like most. It's your car... My 2cents

I wonder what the weights is on the ekm. I would say go enkei out of the group but go with rpf1 the offsets that fit the s2000 look pretty good too. I think im safe to say the rpf1 are lighter too

iI say go with RPF-1s but I'm a little biased... (i know, I know, I need to lower it, it's coming.) I do love those enkeis in the OP, Do they come in gold?

For me, Rotas really weren't an appealing option. I just have a hard time giving money to people who benefit off the engineering work of others. That said, I'm currently running 17x9 Enkei RPF1s all the way around, and love them. Honestly, they stick out too far in the front, but I bought a set of wide fenders to cover them. They DO clear, but I had to roll the snot out of the fenders on both ends, and run an aggressive alignment (I autocross, so I would have run this alignment anyway).
The 17x8 and 17x9 +43 FN01R-Cs WILL fit on the car, and will look perfect with 225s and 255s, but you will have to run ~2*F ~2.5*R camber and roll the rears flat and bend up the 2 (or 3?) tabs that are in direct line of motion of the front wheel. |
