Check Your Hardware at the Door

Suspension-wize (add-on r' replacement braces, supports, beefier bars n' the like. Wheels r' a different animal altogether. They're part of the ultimate sauce, but addin' them into this could really muddy the water) there r' alodda pieces out there for Stewie. Some of us r' already sportin' some of 'em n' some of us r' thinkin' about springin' for 'em.
Some r' felt to be worth the cash outlay n' some'll make you wish you never messed with the stock set-up.
So who's got somethin' in this area that they dislike, like, r' wouldn't think of leavin' home without? This enquirin' mind wouldn't mind hearin' 'boudditt.
Be well n' thanks for playin'.

I tried a larger rear sway bar and hated it. I have the front adj. CT bar and love that so I tried their non-adj. rear and got rid of it quick. Talk about snap oversteer!!!

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

I have a front strut tower bar that I use to put my hand when working under the hood. I doubt it does anything to help handling, but it sure is handy during plug changes.

Whew! 'Had me worried Halo. I thought you were gonna do that "spoiler" picture again.
Thanks for the input guys.
I godda admit that I expected alot more involvement on this topic, what with all the add-ons everybody's always goin' on about. Maybe there's alot more add-ons out there that nobody wants to admit to havin' wasted money on. Maybe. Only one way that we'll ever know.
Be well.

I thought you were only looking for those mods that we have done that we wish we hadn't done.

There are times when I wish I was totally stock.

There are too many add on for this car out there from Japan and U.S.
Bulletproof Automotive has a long long list of goodies w/ big $$$ attached. A buddy of mine in Houston did spent a large chunk of $$$ on is S2k over the year and got a cover story on HCI Magazine November 2006 "Mugen'd Out S2k" pp. 44-47. Check it out

Nah, what I was tryin' to do was get everybody's input on specific handlin'/suspension changes that they'd made n' how they liked, r' disliked the results.
You know, first-hand info from the folks that actually have n' run 'em. 'Thought it might be of some use for those thinkin' of some of those add-ons for themselves. (Guilty as charged)
Apologies if I wasn't clear about what I was tryin' to do.
Be well, n' again, thanks.

Oh, my bad.. Well, here is my two cents about my suspesion setup. I changed to Buddy Club N+ 15 ways adjustable coil over, and running on 17" wheels. I think the car is too light to use all 15 damper settings. I set +1 on the fronts with 32 PSI in the tires,+3 on the rears with 33 psi in the tires, and that is perfect for the daily commute. Add +3 more on each corner for track day. Rebound and feeback are excellence; especially, at the limit of the tires adhesion. I can carry more speed into a corner and get on the accelerator much earlier to induce overstear. Induced overstear is much easier to control compare to stock. To me a larger sway bar is unnecessary, but the strut towers brace is actually more functional now then before. A typical hundred miles per hour cruising seems a lot slower then it really is! But on the bumpy road, it is terrible and that is expected. My only pain is to adjust the damper setting on the rear suspensions; especially, the left rear. The car has the gasoline pipe ran right on top which left enough room to get my fingers in there. For this I can only recommend the Tiens suspension with EDFC remote damper control unit which you can change the damper setting at the comfort of your seat with a press of a button! But then you have to give up the front strut towers brace to make room for the solenoid motor. Adjusting the ride height is a bit time consuming at first, but after a few times I've found the perfect setting. Yes, I wished that I have stayed with stock suspensions so I don't have to spend too much time to adjust and readjust the setting. But I did out of necessity; my left rear tire rub against the fender when I hit a large enough bump with enough speed! And that doesn't happen anymore
