Typical tire wear range?

Just curious as to what is the average mileage you get out of stock tires and/or low profile tires. Bout how many miles on lets say, a new set of tires? Considering of course no burnouts, but somewhat aggressive driving, gotta have that

I get about 8000-10000 miles out of my rear tires and about 18000-20000 out of my front tires. Thats with quite a bit of spirited driving.

Thanks for the reply. And is that with stock tires or aftermarket?

Hi El. I don't know how useful my numbers are gonna be, I switch to winter hoops when we get into the possibility of (with this year's almost 70 degree January 7th it almost seems ridiculous to say the word) snow.
But less roughly 6 to 8 thou for last winter's n' this winter's winter tire use, I've got 14 to 16 thou on the stock tires n' they've got plenty of meat to go.
N' while I may get a little sideway action goin' on once in awhile, no intentional tire spinnin'.
'Hope that's of some help.
Be well.

Dang, now I am starting to get worried. 6-8,000 miles is ALL you people get on the S2000? Ugh!!!!!!!!! I'm used to getting double that at least. I know this is a sports car but crap, 6,000 miles? LOL. And I don't wanna be switching out from my 18" chrome to 16" BLAH during the winter months but crap, if it's gonna be like that, I guess I'll have too lol

Hmmm-m-m-m, dunno how you got 6 to 8 thou out'a what I said, but I'll try again: I've got over 20 thou on the car. 6 to 8 thou of that 20 was on the winter Dunlops. The remaining 12 to 14 thou have been done on the stock tires which are showing no signs of needing replacement.
I'm figurin' that the stock stickies r' gonna need replacin' somewhere between 18 to 22 thou, but that's strictly guessin'.
What I can say with some assurance is that the stock rubber is good for at least the 12 to 14 thou that I've put on mine.
N', while I'm always concerned about the condition of my tires, I'm not known for my concern about the effects that my driving will have on them. They're tires. They wear so that Stewie n' me can stick in the corners.
Be well.

The factory Bridgestone Potenza S02's did last longer than most other tires for the AP1's. With hard driving they last for about 12000 miles. I bought my car used and it had Kumho's in the rear and the original S02's in the front. The car had 22000 miles on it. I replaced all for tires even though the fronts still had quite a bit left. As for AP2's, I have no idea. One owner I know went through front and rear tires in less than 10000 miles.

Yeah spa, there's trememdous variables built into both the different brands (n' in that, also different models of different brands) n' different drivers. (Another example of the old saw "different strokes?)
'Afraid I didn't give all the info that's required in this kind'a comparison: mine's an AP2 n' the tires that've given me that mileage so far r' the stock Bridgestones.
I'm usin' it everyday, so most of the mileage is done durin' normal transportation duties. I'm sure that if I was only usin' Stewie for weekend corner-strafin' my numbers'd be tremendously different in both the miles on the car at this point, n' a much lower life-of-tire.
But if the tires godda go, I can't think of a more defensible reason n' 'at's why we all paid the price of admission, i'nit?
Be well.

Yup, thats why I paid the price of admission!! I bought the car to be a weekend driver, and only sees daily use when my other cars are out of commission. I know I could get much better mileage out of my tires, but then I wouldn't be having too much fun .

Well I've always had good luck with the Falken Ziex 512's so I went with those. Man these new rims are hot! How do you post pics?
