Any suggestions for light-weight rims???

Hey guys! I live in Turkey and the wheel market around here for the high offset rims is really bad... I basically need light -weight rims that also have the looks... Do you guys have any suggestions since I'm going to get them imported anyway?

Rims are such a subjective choice of personal preference that I'm not sure what advice you will get. You will definitely want a strong forged wheel from a name brand if you are going through this much trouble. Personally I love the BBS RGR but you might not like that design.

well I really liked the BBS RGR as well, I'm actually trying to get one but the distributor of bbs in Turkey just decided that they won't import anymore... I'm trying to get a Germany adress to buy them but its almost impossible to find an adress since the bbs.com doesn't work... I have also checked the OZ Superleggera III but its a bit heavier than the RGRs I think its around 23.4 front and 24.6lbs at the back whereas in the bbs rgr its 17.8lbs up front and 18.5lbs at the back... It's not a big difference I think I'll get the superleggera III.

Well, what size wheels are you looking to buy? I'm assuming you want something under 25lbs each, so you may want to consider 16's or 17's.

Try the Kinesis rims. They can give you EXACTLY the offset needed for whatever size tire you decide to run.

They are 3 piece rims and therefor can be repaired if you should happen to meet a nasty pothole.

I love mine!!

Buddy club P1 Racing QF 17x8 ET45 front and 17x9 ET63 rear weigh in at 13.4lbs and 14.4lbs rear here's mine:

There's a few others too (from memory):

Volk CE28N 14 & 15lb
Volk TE37
Mugen MF10 14 & 16lbs
BBS forged OEM in 16"
Spoon SWS

This car has extreme offsets so make sure you investigate it fully before ordering and double check which tyre width is required to prevent rubbing.

Oh and if you're looking to reduce unsprung weight then i'll assume you're more focused on performance rather than 'bling' so stay with 17's maximum to retain the handling. Also note that the larger the wheel, the heavier the tyre due to increased sidewall weight and the benefits are diminished further because the mass is towards the perimeter of the wheel/tyre. Toyo tyres tend to be the lightest too...HTH
