Tien Flex - Good or bad? or meh?
I've heard a lot of conflicting reports on Tien Flex coilovers. I have read many posts where there have been people saying that they are crap and anything Tien makes under $2k is garbage.
On the other hand, it seems a lot of people have them, and whenever there is a group buy of any sort, all kinds of folks are all over it. I like the idea of EDFC, but I don't gotta have it. If they truly are sub-par and are lower performance than stock, I will go with either a PSS9 or KW V3 setup. Or I might just go nuts and get the Moton Clubsport from King. Does anyone have any experience with these? I guess I should point out my desires for the system: My car is my daily driver as well as a weekend autocrosser. I don't want to go down in performance from stock. If turned down to the softest settings, I would like it to be no rougher than stock. Would it be beneficial to buy differernt spring rates and switch them out? I've never had coilovers on a car before and just kinda want them. I've had Koni's and springs and fully realize that would be good enough to meet my needs probably, but I want to try something different. I'm new to the S2k scene and am a relatively new owner and this will be my first mod. Thanks in advance for any help or advice that is offered! |
