Google is your friend. I love how volks look on our cars also rota has alot of nice wheels. Personally I think 19"s are to big but I like performance and the roads in the philly area are pretty bad.

I have 18's and i think they look too big in the front. Rear looks ok. To each his own. If you are going 19's, just make sure you have the right offset or you'll be hating life with fender rubs and possible wheel bearing issues.

Vez couldn't be more on regardin' the offset mk.
A case'a I should'a known better: Salesman (That should'a put up red flags from the get-go) at EWheels swears to me that these neat lookin' 5Zigens fit my Stewie no problem. Me, I'm askin' about the difference in offset n' he's pattin' my head, tellin' me what I wanna hear, knowin' that I'm in lust for these slick lookin' 5 spokers. Get this: they actually claim that the wheels stickin' out from under the car is "a more agressive stance". Them stickin' out reminded me of a '53 Ford pickup with the doors open. The offset on the fronts were close enough for government work. I use 'em with my summer rubber. The rears were stickin' out n' durin' any serious cornerin' r' less than perfect road surface were remindin' me of my old physics lessons: Impenitrability: no two objects can occupy the same space at the same time. N' believe me mk, when you're getin' to an area that you know is gonna make the wheels contact the hard parts, you pucker up like it's you that the tires r' gonna be rubbin' on. Tell me I'm lyin'. So the rears r' currently holdin' up a killer Suzuki engine in the garage. The numbers don't lie. The offset that Stewie requires is only available on few wheels. Stay realistic when you're shoppin' for 'em n' don't let your desire go into high-lust . . well, unless you've got a killer Suzuki engine out in the garage in need of a stand. Be well, n' like the ol' knight said . . . . Java

What Do You Want?
Vinny is spot on ... listen to him! What this really comes down to is are you looking to "Pimp" or "Bling" your S2000 or "Personalize" it without "f"ing-up its handling characteristics? 19 inch rims can cause excessive tire wear on an S2000 and not allow for enough suspension travel if you intend to drive this car with any modicum of intelligent aggression. Remember ... its a "Sports Car" not an Escalade! Good luck Tommy.

Calm down dude, we all love this car stock, that's why we bought it. Most people on here are not 'ricing' out their cars. It's not a civic and we all know that. Have your opinions, but we are a community here, and we try to keep negative opinions to ourselves. There are always thoughtful helpful ways to state opinions without flaming...

right on sxy.......say nay to da flame!!!!
do what you will with the rims, but be aware of the definate compromises you make altering the factory setup. messing with the unsprung weight of a stewie will require tweaking elsewhere. good luck! jagg |

ISU, you and I have disagreed on straight line vs. twisty in the past, but never have we gotten rude with each other. It's all about respect for everyone and this guy has NONE. Nothing like being told by a 26 year old guy to "grow up" ![]()

Ya I mean I can see giving someone a hard time I can even see being a little rude sometimes but this dudes first 20 posts were pretty annoying. I am one of the most anti rice people but I dont just join sites and yell at people about how they shouldnt do anything to their car.
Sit down get to know us a little before you make a bunch of posts like that.

As far as ricey rims... All that matters is, whether or not you the owner likes them. Personally I like deep dish rims and gunmetal, but understand, that I have to have the correct offsets which means no 2" lip...

I agree with most of the posts above, forget 19's, unless you want the car to handle like a park bench on castors.
Even 18's are too large IMO. 17's suit the car just nicely and allow good weight losses in comparison to larger, heavier wheels. OEM wheels are heavy and there are some good, forged alternatives which will make the car more personalised and perform better. Understatement with intent is a far better alternative to overstatement lacking insight... |

Mugen has one of the only 17" wheels with the correct offset and as I prefer to stick with 16" I had only one choice. BBS JDM and they are light and sweet.

My badd...xcuse my Army rudeness...lol....didnt mean for yawll to take it that way..
I just thought 19"s would kinda throw off not only your speedometer but your final drive ratio as well....but to each his own

Actually, any change will throw it off. The car is calibrated at the factory with the OEM equipment. If it came with 16's, then putting on anything else will throw it off. Changing the tire size helps compensate a little, but it won't be perfect. I have 18's for the street and my speedo actually reads high.

19" WHEELS will not throw off a speedo. The overall diameter of a tire will.

not that an off speedometer is a real big deal anyway....Bobby got those slipstreams on his stuff and his speedometer is almost 10 miles per hour off. 10mph under actual i meant to say... all in all if mk84 doesn't mind a little bit slower stewie then I guess its all good.
