What do you think of the new wheel design?

Any thoughts on the new wheel design?

Well I bought my s2000 only last October 2007, and the wheels are sharp, classy not so much racy but quality appearance. Even the new Honda Oddessey has the same gun metal wheels as the 2008 s2000. They look to remove the eye a little from the wheels to retain attension to the body. Little more sporty, but not as classy. An identity from past models to determine the new 2008 model, if you know what your looking for. ( Well.........they had to do somthin, as the cars pretty damn perfect )
Its hard to change a winner.

First off, there'z only one, true, kick-ass, bring-it-on, ain't nothin' else'att matterz, Sgt. Rock of wheel design: the original Cragar 5 spoke mag now available on your current Mustangs. All otherz're jus' round things, some of which're less offensive than otherz.
But if whut Don'z showin' us is the new wheel, I guess it's better'n a sharp stick in the eye.
The original 16" 5 spokes were okay.
The road-kill sandcrab'z on my '04 belong on a two-toned, low-ridin' '63 Chevy.
Those new one'z come under the headin'uv less offensive.
But they're round n' do whut needs ta be done fer li'l Stewie ta doo'izz job. They'll doo.

Thanks DJJSR for inserting the pic. I had one from the Honda website but couldn't insert it in my post. Call me computer challenged !

The new design seems to be growing on me!

I like my '07 wheels, the '08 wheels look too much like what I had on my '05 TSX.

I'm partial to the way the ol' 5 spokers look, and look good on almost anything.

I agree, but I think Cragars or those AR wheels on the Elky may look a little strange on an S2000. Most of the time an older car should have older classic styled wheels and a newer car can look better with the more modern designs. Nothing looks more ridiculous than 20" billets on a '57 Chevy!!!!

They've been doing this lately, and it's not pleasing to the eye.

Agreed, but I think those 20" billets even look ridiculous on the prebuilt 1/18th scales piled up in BJs.

I think one of the ugliest rims was on the BMW M1 (I think that was the model). m It looked like a BMW badge or the little circles on a crash-test dummy. Someone will post a pic, right?
I'm a 5 spoke dude. I'd like to get some black rims with the polished aluminum ring.

Black (the company name) Racin' has some snappy lookin' unit'z like whut you described Doc.
Unfortuneately, they don't have even near the positive offset we need. If you deal with ewheels they will tell you that the less-than-necessary offset will give your car a "more agressive" look. (Personally, with the wheels stickin' out, I think it looks like a kid with big ears) They'll also tell you that they use them themselves on their S2000s, they sell 'em to satisfied customerz n' my personal favorite: "they won't cause any contact problems.
I doubt that I have to tell you the rest'a the story. Dummy figured that, well, I've been away from this kind'a stuff for a long time, maybe they know better'n me.
So I hadda get another 2 rims with the correct offset.
Those other 2 that I can' use sure look cool holdin' down stuff when it gets windy though.
Don't get conned like some dummies I know (who shall remain nameless to protect their identities.)

I'm saving up for these and a set of wide whites. I think they'll go well with the Laguna blue. Gotta go.......I hear the smoke alarm........supper must be ready.

DJ, thanks. I think the offset on those rims is off, I think they'd "bearly" fit on the S.
You know, I looked for the M1 rims I was talking about, but those aren't them. There was a guy in town with the ones I'm talking about, but couldn't find 'em on the net. Maybe they were aftermarket. Thanks anyway.

I had an 04 and I think I actually like those wheels better than the new 08 ones that I have now. But, my husband is a fanatic about keeping the car clean and he says the new ones are much easier to keep clean.
I'm not complaining, I still love my car - five or ten spokes, doesn't matter to me as long as I have her to drive!
