2004+ 17" wheels fit 2000-2003?

Just like the title says......will 17" wheels from a 2004+ fit a 2000-2003 car with no rubbing or issues etc?

I have blackpainted stock AP1 16" rims that I have on my -05 car. Last time I looked they was sitting perfectly there BTW... the stock 17" fits too!

I could imagine clearences can be smaller than with the 16", but aren't there several owners using 18" wheels on Ap1's?

What about ride quality? With the thinner side walls (buy about 1/2 an inch) won't it affect this?

That's what I've been wondering too. Also, are the tires for a 17" rim substantially more expensive, since 17's is less common than 16's? (ex: a 4' fluorescent bulb is under $2. A 2' one costs over $4)

In general a smaller sidewall will ride more harsh if you are comparing same brand/model tire.

The stock 16" S02's ride more harsh then my 17" Yoks Advans S4's. Y
