need help on wheels

cant decide between 17's or 18's for my 08 but leaning more towards 17's because the roads around here are kind of messed up. Also i will be getting the tein flex coil over kit so it will be lowered a little bit and i do not want to roll my fenders. i am looking for something thats chrome but at the same time light and good quality. I havent really been able to find a good selection. any ideas?

Just stick with appropriate offsetz.
N' the best I could suggest (Read: trusted) would be the TireRack.

Tox, if "the roads around here are kind of messed up" you may want as much tire sidewall'z you can get to avoid the rim damage that comes from the combination'uv "roadsurface surprise" 'n ultra-low-profile tirez.
'Jus' recently hadda go out'n bail someone out who hadda pothole KO'er really nice'n shiny aluminum rim because the low-profile tire didn't offer up much in the way'a protection.
They never show yuh picturez'a the rimz bent'n scarred from exposure ta the real world. All they ever show'yuz when they're nice'n shiny.

Tthe best offsets are the oem offsets. But as a GENERAL rule, anything in the high 50's for the front and high 60's in the rear have a pretty good chance of fitting.

The Stewie has adjustable camber already, no need for a camber kit.

My setup:
18x8 +56 Front
18x10 +68 Rear

Lowered on Tein Flex coilovers

For reference:
Based on successes and failures from many S2000 owners, we can use an offset calculator to figure out what other offsets and tires will work. These are minimum recommended offsets. You can use a higher offset if you want, and you will get additional fender clearance.

For the front:
205 tires: +43 offset minimum (6.5” to 7.5” wide wheel)
215 tires: +48 offset minimum (7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel)
225 tires: +53 offset minimum (7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel)
235 tires: +58 offset minimum (7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel)
245 tires: +63 offset minimum (7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel)

For the rear:
235 tires: +40 offset minimum (7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel)
245 tires: +45 offset minimum (7.5” to 9.0” wide wheel)
255 tires: +50 offset minimum (8.0” to 9.5” wide wheel)
265 tires: +55 offset minimum (8.5” to 9.5” wide wheel)
275 tires: +60 offset minimum (9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel)
285 tires: +65 offset minimum (9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel)

The offsets above will all set the outside edge of the tire to the same place relative to the outer fender, rounding to the nearest millimeter.

I'm running 225/40/18 up front which is standard fitment. In the rear I'm running 285/30/18 which I wouldnt recommend unless you want to roll your fenders and relocate bumper bolts. You could run 265/35/18's on this same size rim without a problem.
