what size rims 18s or 19s and coilover or springs????
hey whats up guy, I just bought a while 2002 s2000 on full red interior. Bought it from my friend that took great care of it since the first day. Hes the original owner. Im having a problem with rims should i get 18s or 19s. My bimmer has 19s but im not sure if 19 inch rims will fit or look good on an s2000. Im thinking more 18s. that said, what suspension? im not trying to race the car just want it to look good and handle a bit better. and at the same time im not trying to spend lots of money on a suspension. what do you guys think i should do? any help would be greatly appreciated...
thank you Harry |

Definately 18's, 19's are overkill and hinder the performance of this car as far as weight and drivability.
My setup: 18x8 +56 front 18x10 +68 Rear I would highly recommend Tein Flex coilovers for your suspension Based on successes and failures from many S2000 owners, we can use an offset calculator to figure out what other offsets and tires will work. These are minimum recommended offsets. You can use a higher offset if you want, and you will get additional fender clearance. For the front: 205 tires: +43 offset minimum (6.5” to 7.5” wide wheel) 215 tires: +48 offset minimum (7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel) 225 tires: +53 offset minimum (7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel) 235 tires: +58 offset minimum (7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel) 245 tires: +63 offset minimum (7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel) For the rear: 235 tires: +40 offset minimum (7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel) 245 tires: +45 offset minimum (7.5” to 9.0” wide wheel) 255 tires: +50 offset minimum (8.0” to 9.5” wide wheel) 265 tires: +55 offset minimum (8.5” to 9.5” wide wheel) 275 tires: +60 offset minimum (9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel) 285 tires: +65 offset minimum (9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel) The offsets above will all set the outside edge of the tire to the same place relative to the outer fender, rounding to the nearest millimeter. 18's.
Coil-overs. Inexpensive and good- Ground Control with Koni Yellow shocks.

17s.
18's do nothing good for performance. They actually hurt performance!
