I definitely like the look, but powder coating would likely be easier and will be much more durable. I love the semi flat look. I would have left the center caps unpainted too.

I said no, because i figured it would be a house hold job. Not that it cant be done but its hard to keep stuff out of the paint while it drys. The powder coating is much better idea and you can do that rather easy at home.

Please explain??

I would powder coat if it can be done at home and rather inexpensive?

I dont think I will do the home job on my S2K, however I did do them on my 4X4 and they look great. So far they are holding up good, (over a year).

A good friend of mine has a nifty little powder coating gun that plugs into the wall, and he heats his stuff up in his oven in his house. Rather nice house i should say, he has to do that when the wife is out. I'll have to get ahold of him and see where he got his gun. But i will for sure get back at ya. I think Isu did his in his oven also. Wheels that is.

You can get many cheap powder coating guns for like 100-400 bucks its pretty simple to do its just you will need an oven to fit your rims and not your house one lol i have heard it makes a bad smell or whatever you can only use it for powder coating, I was going to get a gun but dont really have anywhere for an extra crappy oven but for small parts its great cause u could buy one of those little toaster ovens

^^^ Silver - you thinkin about doin this? I was thinking about it. I'd offer to pitch in and help if you want. I've never done it before, but I have two hands and a brain (and a wife who is about to take the bar exam, so I'm kicked out of the house quite a bit).

4 cinder blocks and their side (available cheap at Home Depot) with a piece of 12" 2X6 on top works real well to hold up the car for a few days

Might be a good deterrent to potential thieves. They will think someone beat them to the punch..
