wheel assistance
Hey everyone,
just purchased an 05 honda s2000 and ready to change my rims. I got a set of mugen mf-10 rims, 17" x 8" offset +55, can they fit on the S? Desperately awaiting a reply |

The common wheel size chart:
As written by spa-zz: These are minimum recommended offsets. You can use a higher offset if you want, and you will get additional fender clearance. For the front: 6.5” to 7.5” wide wheel: 205 tires: +43 offset minimum 7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 215 tires: +48 offset minimum 7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 225 tires: +53 offset minimum 7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +58 offset minimum 7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 245 tires: +63 offset minimum For the rear: 7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +40 offset minimum 7.5” to 9.0” wide wheel: 245 tires: +45 offset minimum 8.0” to 9.5” wide wheel: 255 tires: +50 offset minimum 8.5” to 9.5” wide wheel: 265 tires: +55 offset minimum 9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 275 tires: +60 offset minimum 9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 285 tires: +65 offset minimum Congrats on the purchase and welcome! |

according to the chart, it will work. but i would run wider tires in the back for sure. the S is really set up to have wider tires in the back.

thanks guys,
do you suggest 215/45/17 in the front and 225/40/17 in the back. Also, i want to get some lowering springs; 1 1/2 drop max, any suggestions? |

The newer cars come with 215/45x17 up front and 245/40x17 on the rear.

yea, but if I'm going to lower the car 245 won't be too big. Also, considering the rim is 8" in width will 245's fit?

One other thing; the rims that I have are 8" in width and +55 offset all around but the oem rims are 7.5 in the front, +55 offset and 8.5, offset +68 in the rear.

s2k pics and question
Hey Guys,
it's me again; so I got my new shoes on, see attached pic. Wearing the mugen mf-10 and lowered the car with 1 inch eibach springs. The car looks ok but I find the back in much lower than the front, is there anyway I can adjust this?s2k small.jpg |
