offset ?

what offset's are you using with ur wheels(Fr/BaCK mostly rear)? with regards to wheel offset let me kno if your using the stock brake calipers or if you upgraded to bigger and better like spoon or bembo, etc...thx What manufacturer/style wheel? tire size(fr & back)? im thinking 225 FR and 255 back ne opions? i dont want to go too much wider in the rear than front bc that will cause more undertsteer so im curious what you all are using...thx for the feedback -DH4L

These are minimum recommended offsets. You can use a higher offset if you want, and you will get additional fender clearance.

For the front:
6.5” to 7.5” wide wheel: 205 tires: +43 offset minimum
7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 215 tires: +48 offset minimum
7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 225 tires: +53 offset minimum
7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +58 offset minimum
7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 245 tires: +63 offset minimum

For the rear:
7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +40 offset minimum
7.5” to 9.0” wide wheel: 245 tires: +45 offset minimum
8.0” to 9.5” wide wheel: 255 tires: +50 offset minimum
8.5” to 9.5” wide wheel: 265 tires: +55 offset minimum
9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 275 tires: +60 offset minimum
9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 285 tires: +65 offset minimum

So lets say that i have some wheels with an offset of +38 would that go in go further in the fender well of further out???

If you want to run that offset you need to get some rear over fenders.

Higher the offset the better... The higher the offset the more it sits "in" the wheel well under the fender, The lower the offset the more likely it is to stick out of the fender and when you hit a bump or anything it will smash up and dent your fender depending on how bad it is... Now depending on how low you can go all depends on what size wheels ur getting width, tire size ur going to run and if your lowered, and also dont want to do any mods to make them fit

so would:

+43
5/114.343

be good for the front and
+48
5/114.348
for the rear?

With that offset you would need to run a 205 tire in the front smaller than stock.. Dont think thats ideal pretty sure stock is 215 rear is 245... But if you use a 235 in the rear without a drop you should be safe, I used a 18X8.5 with +45 and rubbed but only on my drivers side turns out my drivers side is 1/2" lower than passengers

Ouch with 2 inch drop your really going to have to make sure your inside there... You may want higher offset to play it safe but ill let someone else chime in im not 100% and that charts a good guide but for stock

For the front:
6.5” to 7.5” wide wheel: 205 tires: +43 offset minimum
7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 215 tires: +48 offset minimum
7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 225 tires: +53 offset minimum
7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +58 offset minimum
7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 245 tires: +63 offset minimum

For the rear:
7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +40 offset minimum
7.5” to 9.0” wide wheel: 245 tires: +45 offset minimum
8.0” to 9.5” wide wheel: 255 tires: +50 offset minimum
8.5” to 9.5” wide wheel: 265 tires: +55 offset minimum
9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 275 tires: +60 offset minimum
9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 285 tires: +65 offset minimum

255 with that size wheel ur looking at gettin min of 50.... Now I would go even higher to be safe so its looking like 48 is risky You will prob need to camber and roll

Ya just remember you can always make a set work for the most part... But it all depends on the work you want to do any money you want to spend much easier to get ones that just work... Good luck, and go for ones you want even if there a little more $$ i made the mistake of trying to save and ended up selling them and now have to save fore the ones i REALLY want
