Which is a BETTER wheel ?

Hi, I am new to this forum & have a question on which wheels to put on my Newly acquired 05' s2000. I am looking at the MMR GT1's & Stern ST-2.
The MMR's come in a staggered at 18x7.5 with a 48 offset Front & 18x8.5 with a 45 offset Rear . The Stern's come staggered in 18x8.5 Front & a 18x9.5 Rear , I am not sure about the offset on these. They we both have the Black centers ! I have a stock S & dont wish to roll any fenders ! Any HELP would be appreciated . -Ken

Before jumping the gun on the wheels think it over... When I first got the S I bought the MMR GT1's thought they were nice looking.. I ended up selling them in a week. There nice looking wheels but there very generic you will find them on ebay selling under all types of cars just different listings, I mean if your set on them then go for it but just want you to be aware of the quality difference. I bought them thinking they would look like my current wheels and 8-9 months later had what I first started wanting

Well I see nothing wrong with the MMR's. I think they look just as good if not better than your current BBS wheels, But thats just me.

No there is nothing wrong with them at all, I just wanted to give you a heads up. I just dont think there super quality wheels, Im not telling you to go get extreme expensive wheels but there are other cheap wheels around same price as the MMR's that little better quality. Only reason Im saying is I kinda jumped the gun when I first got the S and bought those and ended up regretting them, You may totally not.

It doesnt matter which are better, it is which ones you can afford and which ones you like. What matters is offsett and stance. So you know I have staggered 18's - 7.5/9.5 and love it. front I believe is 48 rear is 52.

Here is a shot of the flush rear wheels. My fenders are not rolled and I dont rub..

Thats quite alright. I like the Volks but my budget says No Way. I dont see any other wheels that have a black center that I like.

I may be wrong but I thought SXY_S2K had stern wheels, not sure which version. Look her up here on the site and ask her. And yes to confirm 9.5 will fit with no mods needed.

That is if your not dropped at all... My MRR gt1's rubbed with a small drop I had to roll my fenders.. +45 not that high of an off set, 9.5 will fit but with a high enough offset

You also really need to keep in mind how much the wheels weigh. My 18" wheels weigh 24lbs a piece

RL...could you please go out and rub just a little bit of dirt on your car? C'mon....maybe just some fingerprints on the glass, or a little mud under the wheel well or something! You're really making me feel like a slacker with the car-cleaning habits. That damn thing is immaculate!

Modified Mag did a wheel test in june so you may want to give that a peak if performance is a massive issue but if it comes down to what looks good and you can afford, the ones you have mentioned all would work.

It really has more to do with offset than width of the wheel.. Im currently running 9.5" in the rear no problem but I have a pretty high offset Some people are running 8.5" with problems due to low offset

Do you have more pics of your wheels on the S? Is she lowered?
